Visualize the 1990s

I had a program over 20 years ago which let you choose different colors of noise, oscillation speeds?, and a bunch of "wave pattern" visualizations. Help me find it or something very like it? Mac compatible preferred, but I'll figure it out if that's impossible.
It had some presets for i.e., creating delta-wave sleep patterns, but also presets for maximal trippiness. It would have ran on Windows 95 and I miss it terribly. I must have downloaded it from a sketchy early-web page, I know for a fact it wasn't on a floppy, and it wasn't a music visualizer or connected to Winamp or anything of the sort. Sound familiar?
Even if this particular old weird program is lost to the early internet, I'd still like to find something like it for meditation purposes. Ideal controls would be visualizer color and speed, choice of simple shapes oscillating in a regular pattern, noise color control and maybe the ability to layer? (So, pink AND white noise) and a fullscreen capacity. I have a 2013 Macbook air but if you know of just the thing and it's Linux only or something, I can work with that.

Todd Rundgren's FlowFazer? This is now available as an iPhone app, it appears.

Could be MilkDrop. Was a winamp plugin and then later a standalone program.

Might it have been The Groove Thing? I killed so many hours playing with that thing.
