How to signup for bookbeats Ireland in the US?
June 23, 2020 4:54 AM

There is a series of audiobooks that are only available in certain territories at Bookbeats.com. I would like to sign up for the two week free trail at Bookbeats in one of those territories, but it is out of my country (US).

I tried to sign up for a few different territories at Bookbeats, but the signup will not go through due to location specifics of my IP or credit card account. Bookbeat.com takes credit cards and Paypal.

I tried setting my VPN for the same jurisdiction and using Paypal, but it still will not go through.

How can I sign up for Bookbeats in Ireland from the US? I just want to try the two week free trial period and see how it goes, so there is not any cost involved.

You could use VPN, and temporarily change your address with your credit card company to a US address.

Thanks, I feel it might open up a can of worms if I change my address to a different country? (Perhaps I was not clear, so I am in the US, the territories that have the books I want to listen to on Bookbeats are: Ireland, Slovakia, Slovenia among others.)

To be honest, I was hoping to find a person who would be willing to open up a free trail for me? But I am open to any questions, thanks for yours!

I wouldn't recommend changing your address to a different country. It could definitely open a can of worms for you.

I live in Ireland. If you MeMail me, I'm happy to set up a free trial for you. Then you should be able to access using your VPN.

Often, a free trial requires a credit card. Two weeks trial then automatically charged after that unless you cancel.

Yeah the signup needs a credit card - if you want to use my Dublin address to complete the sign up then MeMail me. Unfortunately my pre-paid credit card thing expired last month so I can't do the trick of signing up using that for the free trial and then them being unable to take payment after the two weeks is up.
