Exporting Hotmail emails to Gmail

Hotmail and gmail. How do I get my saved hotmail messages over to gmail while still maintaining the original sender as the sender (since if I just forwarded them my hotmail address would replace the original sender's when they appear in gmail)?

Interesting - was just beginning to experiment with Getmail. While it does forward emails (you have to mark read emails as unread though) it fakes the original sender's email address... Not perfect, but it at least enables you to search for things... Will definitely look at Eudora though. Thanks!

hijack: when doing this, is there any way to retroactively convert these 'forwarded' emails to gmail's threaded discussion structure?
