Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race for non-white?

Is “Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race” still THE book I should read as a non-white?

I am Asian American living in Britain. I see this book come up very often but I don’t know if it’s the best one for me to read on this topic. To be clear, I am not against reading this book and agree there is probably some benefit regardless. However, since having a baby, I haven’t finished a book in about oh, two years. I’m trying to get the most out of my time here.

So is there an equivalent book in terms of value and insight that is more catered toward my lived in experience as a different kind of ethnic minority? Or is this still the one I should read?

It is certainly the book I most commonly see recommended for British readers.

Response by poster: Just for clarification - I’ve been living in Britain for 14 years after living in America for 26 years. Although I see myself continuing to live in Britain for the foreseeable future, my experience as a POC has been mainly through American culture (Northern Californian).

It's a good book, but also I felt quite 101 level. If you think you've got a handle on that there's also Natives by Akala which is about racism and class in the UK.
