Looking for a QUIET air conditioner!

One that has a decent fan, and is QUIET. A decent filter would be nice; good louver direction would nice. QUIET.
Huh. As a datapoint, I owned a Frigidaire Gallery and found it very loud. Worked great, but much louder than the unit it replaced, which I think was a much older Frigidaire. Maybe the newer model is quieter?

Having an intrinsically quiet model for is important; you can read online reviews for this.
It's also important that the unit maintained and installed correctly as not to transmit, amplify or generate annoying sounds to you.
