Sea mushroom?

Is anyone familiar with what the ingredient called a "sea mushroom" in this video is called in other cultures?

Googling the term only leads me to more hits on her other videos, so I'm not sure what it actually is. I'm wondering if it's some kind of jellyfish or anemone?

Best answer: That looks like it might be abalone.

Best answer: It looks like some kind of abalone to me (on preview, agreed!)

Response by poster: Wonderful! I wondered if it was something that originally had a shell, but "mushroom" threw me off. Thanks so much!
