Question about Canada Post shipping to Colombia

Why doesn't it work?

I'm trying to ship a book from Canada to Colombia, using the Canada Post website. When I get to the second page where there's a dropdown box to select service type, all it says in the box is "Select". Usually there's a list of options. Nothing happens when I click on it.
I tried other addresses in USA, UK, and Australia, they all work. I tried other addresses in Colombia, Venezuela, and Brazil and they don't work.
What's Canada Post's problem with South America? I've shipped there before and not had this problem.
I know I can call their help line but hoped metafilter could solve this without putting me on hold for 2 1/2 days, with no guarantee of success. Thanks!

"International Destinations (excluding U.S.A.)

Postal services have been suspended to many international destinations at the request of the receiving Postal Operator or due to the lack of available transportation."

Colombia is in the "service suspended" table on that page. I'm not Canadian, but the USPS has suspended service to a number of countries (I am guessing because of all the canceled flights) so I had a notion that something similar was going on.

Are there alternative services like UPS that still ship to Colombia? I hope someone else is able to help you.

Lots of international mail is suspended due to COVID-19. The USPS names Colombia as one country affected, so I’m guessing Canada Post can’t ship there either.
