Getting something mailed to me

I want to order something from a UK shop but they do not ship to the US. What are my options in the time of coronavirus?

It is a small item, easy to ship, but the store only delivers regionally.

If they’re a small shop I’d email and ask. I’ve had a surprising number of individual emails from small shops, saying things like “shipping is delayed is that okay.” They may well reply and be able to help you.

You can have it shipped to me at either my UK address or my Irish address and I'll happily re-ship it to you, no problem. Just send me a MeMail.

Just a heads up that the post service & delivery is under enormous strain right now. It might be easy to ship under normal circumstances, but there's a lot of delays for non-essentials.

I just did this with an Ikea item that was discontinued in the US but still available in the UK. I signed up with UK Post Box and it worked perfectly, even with huge Ikea pieces.
