Pandemic sign for my neighborhood?

I have a big window overlooking an intersection, at a spot where a lot of neighbors walk by. I want to make a funny and slightly inspirational sign to put in the window. What should it say? Not too sweet -- I'd rather it be something a little wry. Shorter is probably better, so I can make the letters big.

Response by poster: (I guess I should have added something like - I understand the situation is very serious and I don't mean to make light of it. Just something that might give people a smile as they navigate their way through these difficult days.)

Best answer: I was thinking of hanging a banner saying "thank you essential workers" (or delivery drivers or something like that, something that goes beyond the usual thanks to first responders that is usually people's instinct in a crisis)

"All you need is (socially distant) love."

A stick figure drawing of two people high-fiving or making hugging motions without touching each other.

The Philadelphia vs St Louis curve with a caption: Don't Be Philly/Be Like St Louis. (If you happen to live in Philadelphia or St Louis, you could always alter to "Second chance to get this right" or "We done this once before")

I saw one in my neighborhood that read Let’s be alone together, which I quite enjoyed.

Wave If You Like Hugs

If You Lived Here You'd Be Isolating Now

But I'd really post Hi! I Miss You!

The UN has issued a Global Call to Creatives to create and disseminate art/content to help the fight against coronavirus. You might find some inspiration looking through the six themed briefs and the examples they give for each - I particularly like the Kindness Contagion brief.

In my neighborhood kids have taken to putting rainbow pictures in their windows. It's pretty great to see.

Not clear if you want to be artistically involved, or just to have a sign... if the latter, and if you have access to a printer, perhaps this mutual aid poster from Just Seeds' Downloadable Care Package would do the trick (there's a higher-res version in the download, among other images).

I saw one that was something like: "Standing togther - 6 feet apart"

Block party when this is all over?

Check up on each other

I miss French fries

Text me if you need help: neighbors gotta stick together!

Wash those sweat pants twice a week.

OK, once at least.

Stronger together

Our local newspaper ran an editorial today that closed with "pull together by staying apart," which would work pretty well.

Socially Distant
Emotionally Close

People in my city have started yelling out their windows, ringing bells, just making noise for ten minutes starting at 7 PM in support of nurses and doctors. If that's happening where you are - or you want to start it - make a sign that says "7 PM Every Day, Make Noise For Nurses and Doctors.

Also this a great idea - I live at the corner of a five-way intersection and people on foot pass by many many times a day. I'll keep an eye on this thread for ideas.

It was suggested in another group that we mount a "smiley" in a window visible from the street in order to cheer up passersby. Surely "Wash Your Hands" could be included in such a poster. I would like to add "Go Home like the governor told you", but that would probably cause an um, unfortunate reaction.

My neighbor's sign says:
The thing about social distancing is that once it's over, you won't know the names of the lives you saved.

Here's a hug (with a picture of open arms)

Have a little sunshine 🌞

Keep calm, stay home

And if you have a stuffed animal, put it in the window. (If you're somewhere people are still allowed to take walks.)

Response by poster: In a moment of silliness, I chose "You're doing amazing, sweetie!" and it has been very well received. So it functions on two levels: one is totally sincere, and the other is this. (That's Kris Jenner reacting to Kim Kardashian's in-progress Playboy shoot.)
