Where to buy a decent, affordable sofa or sofa-bed online in Canada?

I moved into a new apartment right before the current crisis, and I need to buy a couch. For obvious reasons I’d prefer not to go couch-shopping in person right now, but couch-shopping online is risky since lots of couches LOOK nice but turn out to feel like sitting on styrofoam. I’m looking for your personal recommendations for companies that sell comfortable, affordable couches online and will ship to Canada.

Requirements:
- Budget of about $1000
- Mid-century-modern-ish style
- Must be able to sleep a person in a pinch (I’d ideally like one of those kinds where the back of the sofa folds backwards to make a flat bed surface, but a couch that’s deep and long enough to sleep a person as-is works too. I don’t think my space is big enough for one of those traditional sofa beds that folds a mattress vertically out the front.)
- Must be comfortable for lounging, this will be the only couch in my apartment.

IKEA is the obvious choice and I think their sofas are generally quite comfy and good quality, but I don’t like any of their options for my particular space. Structube and Wayfair have lots of nice-looking options but all the reviews say their sofas are incredibly uncomfortable.

Does anyone have experience with Article? I came across this sofa which is quite nice and meets most of my requirements.

Thanks for your help!

My roommate had that exact sofa from Article. I slept on it for a few days while waiting for my bed to arrive. I'm 5'5" and it wasn't quite long enough for me to sleep comfortably on my back or stomach, but on my side slightly curled up worked.

It was mostly comfortable, but one thing I did not like about it is that the arms are hard and rectangular. You can't really lean against them the same way you can on a sofa with nice rounded arms. I'd have to use extra pillows to be comfortable if I wanted to read on the couch.

I have that same Article couch and I love it, it is comfortable and looks great and seems very sturdily built. I often end up sleeping on it because it's more comfortable than my bed. Oddly, I am 5'10" and the length feels fine for me for sleeping, so maybe there was a different pillow situation?

This one from Room & Board is one I like.

I have an Article sofa (though not one they make any longer).

I've also sat on the Anton sofa--it's very comfy.

One thing: Even in the best of times, Article delayed delivery of my sofa by about eight weeks. Not sure what the situation is with their production now, but if you can order something they actually have in stock, you're better off.
