What was this YA book from the 1980s/early 90s with a teen model?

In the late 80s or early 90s, I found a book in the library - a young girl enters the modeling world, she's quite poor and only has two suits to go to meet... agencies? casting people? So she has to wash and iron them every day. A photographer befriends her and takes her and her younger sister on a shopping trip. She subsequently sees herself through his eyes (somewhat pitying? I think?) and has... feelings about that image? What is this book?! This has been bugging me for YEARS.

The Bell Jar, maybe? The “two suits” thing sounds weirdly familiar to me too.

Response by poster: I also thought it might be High Cheek Bones - but I really, *really* remember it being a sister and not a brother! Either way, time to go read it and find out. Thanks all!
