Dave and Busters

Walk me through taking six adults to Dave and Busters on 42nd St. in NYC after work.

We’d probably go on a Wednesday when games are half price and are looking to spend maybe two or three hours there. How much are the average games there (in D&B chips)? Or how much per head would it be to keep six adults occupied for about 2-3 hours? Also, how much are beers and cocktails approximately? The online menu only has food prices.

From what I recall (having gone many times in the past but the last time being 3 or 4 years ago), it's pretty expensive. The price of games varies widely depending on what you play, Skee-Ball will be cheaper than immersive video games (like their big racecar thing or anything else with a big immersive setup). More still for specialty things like VR. Unless you're doing one of their unlimited play options (which come with limitations), I would probably expect to spend at least $100 per person at full price ($50 at half price) just on games if everyone wants to actually be playing continuously for 2-3 hours. Less if people are willing to stand around and cheer others on.

I remember beers and cocktails being about what you'd expect for a tourist spot in NYC--probably upwards of $8 for beers and $15-20 for cocktails.
