late 1980s robo dinosaur toys?

I'm haunted by the memory of robot/cyborg dinosaur wind-up toys that I played with as a kid ca. 1989 or 1990 in the USA. They had some kind of postapocalyptic lore setting and IIRC the T. Rex, who might have had a circular whirring sawblade in his chest, was described as blind, but with "the soul of a poet." Does this ring a bell for anyone?

Not Zoids?

Starriors and Zoids were both made by Tomy. The video I linked talks about the differences between the two toylines.
