ReplaceBrokenMugFilter: I'm in search of a coffee mug... Neil Diamond themed... white mug, pink letters that say 'Diamond Girl'. I've googled for it, ebayed for it, can't find anything. HELP ME REPLACE IT BEFORE THE OWNER FINDS OUT ITS BROKEN!!! TIA.

Maybe you could just fly Neil Diamond in.

From my googling, I have gathered that the Diamond Girl mug was sold outside of concerts at souvenir stands.

There is an archived version of the page of the mug here, but it seems the company no longer sells ND merchandise. Try calling them to see if they have an extra mug laying around.

If you're handy with illustrator, I bet it'd be pretty easy make a mug with pink writing on it at someplace like zazzle or cafepress. The only problem is if there is original art on it or if the font is something super obscure. From your description, we can't tell. But if you have the time, you can do the "what the font route" and have the mug by next week.

Have you tried superglue? Porcilen fits back together really well.

Instead of finding an exact replacement (and presumably pretending it's the original), you could be honest, say you broke it, but present the Neil Diamond fan with a different Diamond mug (you can get one made if you have to) and maybe some other item of Diamond merchandise.

But if it has to be the Diamond Girl mug, go here and ask the fan(atic)s. Someone's probably sitting on a box of them.
