Looking for your recommendations for hotels that offer rooms with seriously big bathtubs in either New York City, Washington DC, or the Bay Area. Thank you!

I stayed in a room in the Four Seasons in Tribeca that had an enormous tub.

Do in-room hot tubs count or not?

Response by poster: Do in-room hot tubs count or not?

Sure! I hadn't considered that, but that might be even more awesome.

TimeOut has this list - often they are called jacuzzi suites.

I remember the Mark Hotel in NYC having really a great bathroom when I stayed there (normal-sized room). I don't remember how deep the tub was, though.

Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco has some rooms with a Japanese style bathroom. There is a small area for sitting and showering with a hand held shower, and a deep long tub for soaking in after cleaning yourself. The tub is a fiberglass western style tub, just giant, not like a special wooden tub or anything (at least in the room I stayed in). My 6’4’ (then) 250 lb husband was submersed up to his head. Also when I stayed there, a few days’ stay gave you a free ticket to Kabuki Springs, a Japanese style bath nearby, which has a giant hot tub and a giant cold tub, both shared with the 20-40 other guests in the bathhouse.

Time Out also has a jacuzzi list for San Francisco. And I can't think of the specific hotels (it's been a while since I stayed in the city), but I've previously found that hotels in San Franisco's Japantown sometimes differentiate suites with...you guessed it...a Japanese soaking tub.

The DC Wharf Intercontinental has rooms with huge tubs, but not all rooms do. I recommend calling before booking. (I packed bath salts for a return stay and had a disappointing normal tub)

The bathrooms at the Rosewood DC are obscenely palatial with free-standing soaking tubs you will want to live in.

The Andaz in Napa has some larger rooms with enormous tubs next to the bed. Amazing.

Any Kimpton Palomar "Spa" room or suite will have an enormous soaking tub and separate walk-in shower. Some of the other Kimptons probably have them, too, I just only have personal experience with the Palomars.
