Does anyone know what these seeds are called?

I have two pictures and no further information at all.

Those look like they could maybe be cardamom pods? If you have them in your hand, and don't mind breaking one, does it crush easily in your fingers to be a fibrous husk on the outside and little round seeds on the inside that smell like, um, cardamom? (If you don't know the smell, 'spicy' in a way that works for sweet baked goods.)

They look like shelled, undyed pistachios.

Response by poster: I have returned with more information!
They are definitely not Cardamom.

They are called Kenr or something like that in another language.

Are you sure those are seeds and not pods with seeds inside them? It looks a little like columbine seeds.

If you crunch them, to you get smaller bits?

Response by poster: I think the language is going to be Iraqi Arabic?

Also they are definitely a foodstuff.
