Question: Japanese TV Online?

Japanese TV online?

I'm learning Japanese, and I'd like to watch some Japanese TV (preferably easier stuff, like kids' cartoons).

Comcast tells me I can't get any international channels via cable, so I'm looking for Japanese TV online.

I found some websites of Japanese TV stations in Japan, but the good ones I found block their content if you're not living in Japan. I also found some satellite feeds, but they don't list their programming, so that's kind of hit-or-miss.

All help is greatly appreciated; thanks in advance. :)

beeline tv has 7. Some of them only broadcast during daytime hours in japan.

oh, sorry, I guess you already found those feeds. They do list their programming when they're offline though, so perhaps that helps.

I've found a lot of Japanese TV up on youtube.com, much of it subtitled.
If you have some specific shows in mind, you might try searching for them there. The stuff that's relatively widely known about in America is more likely to be on the site- for example, as far as Japanese kids' shows go, a bunch of episodes of the live action Sailor Moon series can be found, but not much in the way of Doraemon.

Anyway, those might be a decent starting point. Try searching for various shows and see what you come up with...

If you have bit torrent try these series:

Manhattan Love Story
Great Teacher Onizuka
Shomuni (< -- this is sadly where i learned much of my business japanese, though i did work for a japanese company without getting fired.)br>
Try this link for J-Drama series torrents and reviews. The torrents are pretty dependable.</>

Also, if you are looking to learn real, non-old-lady Japanese try Atashin'chi and Karekano. I've been rewatching Karekano for the first time in four years and it's been shocking to realize that I learned a great deal of my everyday vocabulary from an anime.
