Snow/rain boots for a woman with wide feet and calves?

Shoefilter: Where can I find quality, waterproof, not-too-ugly rain or snow boots for my 9.5W feet?

I have already searched Amazon, Zappos, L.L. Bean and Land's End in vain. Wide width boots are hard to find and those I have found are ugly. While the happy owners of medium-width feet have a dizzying array of boots in all kinds of appealing styles and colors (Floral prints! Glitter!), it seems the boot makers of the world think people with wide feet either don't exist or don't care what their feet look like.

Do reasonably cute rain or snow boots in wide widths (and for wide calves) exist, or is this an impossible dream?

My feet are about as wide as a standard man's shoe, so I could theoretically wear men's boots, but I don't want to, because they're clunky.

I wear a size 10 and have wide feet (and ankles, and calves) and got a pair at Cole Haan a couple years ago. I would definitely go in store and try them on, as I remember several pairs didn’t fit my calves until I found the right ones.

Have you looked at Keen? Their WP range is amazing and has lovely, durable style.

If you could you give more details about boot styles you think are cute and maybe a couple you think are ugly, that would help immensely. Or even just link to a couple in each category?

Keen, Blundstone or Sorel are my go to brands.

Blondo makes boots that look like stylish cute boots that happen to be warm and waterproof. And they come in wide foot/wide calf sizes. (They used to have an XW width option; I can’t find any that come in it at the moment, but they do occasionally exist.)

Merrell is another brand that fits wide to check out that isn't listed as "wide" but fits wider.

I've had luck with Blondo but they aren't truly waterproof if you go for one of their leather "winter" boots, I had a pair (Valente) hold up for several years through a lot of walking and Canadian winters but I wasn't walking through heavy snow in them, I also found them not quite wide enough although the leather stretched thankfully, if I bought them again I'd go up to a 10W (I'm a 9.5W with wide calves too).

I have these Chookas and they're pretty comfortable. They come in fireworks, floral, and polka dot. (I have them in green.)

I know you said you already looked at Amazon, but I'm mentioning these because they're not marked as wide widths. I've had problems with other Chookas being narrow, but these work.

I wear an 8.5 WW and wide-calf boots for what it's worth. My favorite shoes come from Trotters, Softwalk, Propet, SAS (incredibly spendy), and Lands End, but none of them (except Propet and Lands End) seem to have their new winter boots out yet. I love Propet's Delaney boot line in particular and the Delaney Frost looks pretty cute.
