Restore Recent Folders to open/save dialog in Windows 10?

Work computer got upgraded to Windows 10. The "Recent Folders" option has been removed from Open/Save dialog windows. How can I restore it the Open/Save dialog windows? The first couple of answers on Google don't work.

I've used File Explorer to access Recent Folders, and tried to pin it to Quick Access, but it simply doesn't work, it never appears in Quick Access. What am I missing?

It seems that someone asked this in TenForums in 2016.

It appears that there might be a way to get that back by doing a bit of registry editing, the instructions are in the last post of the thread, and the same final answer with images for clarity in the Microsoft Answers community, but I don't know if it will still work. I can't find anything better or more recent that references any other solution.

Hopefully it will still work in the version of 10 that you are using. This new Windows 10 version every 6 months or yearly thing does make finding solutions tricky beyond the way that the previous major versions of Windows differences did.

Response by poster: Thanks, but this bit, "Do NOT attempt this if not THOROUGHLY acquainted with changing multiple registry entries," definitely puts a pause on this method, heh.
