Help me find a Christmas destination

We are considering meeting family in a nice place for Christmas away from all of our residences. People will be coming from Chicago, Taiwan, and Vancouver.

The main constraint is that a baby will be travelling from Vancouver, so ideally the trip from there will be less than 6 hours by direct flight. (Car trips can be longer.) One idea we had is Hawaii; any other suggestions? Thanks!

Yeah, we did hawaii for xmas two years ago and if the cost isnt a problem (and you have the time - we found most of the airbnb situations wanted 7/10/14 day minimums around the holidays) theres no reason to over-think this, it is an obvious (and very good) answer.

hawaii is awesome, but expensive around the holidays. also, you may want to go with a hotel - on some of the islands, airbnb is illegal, and the locals hate it because of the usual local issues with housing availability and price. according to friends who live in honolulu, locals report with a vengeance.
