Best way to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport via public transportation?

We’re staying around the Ooterpark neighborhood, need to be at Schiphol Airport around 10 AM on Friday, we have tram cards available. What’s a good way to get there? Should we go to Central Station first and then...what? We’re taking flights via Alitalia (one of us) and Norwegian (the other).. Thanks!

Google maps is pretty accurate with regards to public transportation in Amsterdam, but personally, I'd just walk to the Amsterdam Muiderpoort train station and take the train to Central, then change for the train to Schiphol.
At Schiphol, the trains stop below the terminal, so it's simple from there, although you may have to go to separate departure zones.

Rome2Rio shows a few options that don't take you through Centraal.

You take trains to Schiphol from Centraal.

This isn't always the right thing to do, depending on where in Amsterdam you are. For example, I live not too far from the De Pijp stop of the the North-South metro line. So I go
1. N-S line to Zuid station
2. Zuid to Schiphol in a total of 10-12 minutes?
And I avoid Centraal.

If you are close to Wilbautstraat metro, you could go there and go to Zuid station and then Schiphol that way. Not as fast as the N-S line but it still does the trick and avoids Centraal.

You can also avoid the crowds at Centraal by going via Duivendrecht: Either walk to Weesperplein or Wibautstraat Metro station and get metro number 54, or pick up the number 41 bus from Beukenplein. At Duivendrecht, take the Schiphol train from platform 4.

You can take a tram (Line 1) to the Lelylaan Station instead of Centraal and the airport is two stops from there. Lelylaan is pretty much never crowded. It'll be a long tram ride though (about 30 mins).

Seconding 9292.nl. There's an English language option.

Hope this is useful:
You can put in the exact address of where you're leaving from. I use this website/app a lot for all my travels in The Netherlands. Night before I'll plan with it. On the day of travel I keep checking it for possible changes in the departure times (especially when I have to catch a flight).
The least-hassle option for me, especially with suitcases etc., would be to choose one of the options for the itinerary that has the least amount of changes (bus to bus, bus to tram, tram to train etc).
The least amount is 1 (see the little balls with sticks symbol), for the route from Oosterpark to Station Schiphol (I just checked). It will take you 30-34 minutes, you may of course want to take more time to account for walking with suitcases or missing a connection, anticipating delays of public transportation etc.
(train)Station Schiphol is on the airport itself with the different airlines all within walking distance.
Have a good trip!
