Going to Umbria to lie in the sun and forget all my troubles!

I'm going to the Umbria/Tuscan region of Italy next week. I will be taking day trips to Gubbio and Perugia. Any advice for things to see or do?

Next week, I'll be at a yoga retreat at a villa in the Umbria/Tuscany region of Italy. Most days, I'll have activities already planned at the villa, but I"m also going to spend a day in Gubbio and a day in Perugia, plus wherever else I can get to easily.

Any suggestions for cool stuff to see or do in Gubbio or Perugia? I've already done my online research on the famous stuff so I know about the cable car, the fountain of fools etc :) I usually turn to Atlas Obscura to find little known weird stuff to do but...they had almost nothing listed.

I like art, music, festivals, theater, and anything supernatural or bizarre! Would also love suggestions on really good gelato/pastry places.

Holy shit in Perugia go here. Amazing woman-owned and run weaving shop, with a focus on recreating old patterns and using antique equipment. Truly a highlight. La Taverna was one of the best meals we had while there.

I'm in umbria for 6 months every year.
There are more things on now than you can fit into a lifetime, if you like authentic Italian life, instead of sanitised touristy stuff!

Festivals: Look for Sagre (sing.Sagra).
It sounds as though you are north of Lago Trasimeno, so to find out what is on in your area, go to Umbria Eventi and key in where you are and the dates.
