searching for the perfect long-sleeved crew neck....

i'm starting a new job (yay!) where i will be wearing scrubs, but my employer prefers that tattoos be covered.

my arms are cool, as long as i have long sleeves. my problem is finding a tight enough crew neck to cover the upper portion of my chest piece. so basically i need it to sit as tight as possible around the base of my neck.

suggestions? i'll wear men's or unisex just as happily as women's (which don't seem to actually exist.

What about a mock turtleneck like this:

There are sometimes also cold weather wicking performance/baselayer type tops with a tighter neckline than traditional women's fashion.

Amazon's Daily Ritual brand is nicer than I thought and has a decent high-neck long sleeved tee. Only three colors though.

Pricey, but this zip neck top looks good, comes in a number of colors, won't be too hot in summer.

Another thing to consider is that you can wear what is sometimes called a false/fake collar, or dicky/dickey/dickie, inside your regular scrubs. Here is an example of one in mock turtleneck style, but they come with collars and in other designs (here is a bigger one which would be better for winter use).

A few different color options here.

I buy my (women's) long sleeved crewneck shirts from the Gap and they cover my collarbones. I always buy them online during the many ridiculous sales they have. They last a good while and are nice and soft.

I wear scrubs and wear these long-sleeve stretchy crew shirts underneath my scrub tops every day. They are super comfortable, form-fitting, last forever, and they hit right at my collar bone if that's high enough. They have quite a few solid and striped colors.

I too like Land's End for conservative crew neck necklines - their longsleeve selection has a decent range of sizes and fits. They have a pretty generous return policy if you are inside the US, too, so if it turns out that they are not high enough after all you won't be stuck with what your ordered.

Have said that, depending on how high you really need, you may want to consider a very light turtlneck like this or this.

Something in the Under Armour family? Outlet; see also outdoor-sports-oriented suppliers.
