looking for a daily/weekly/monthly chore list and assignment tracker. Windows and android clients would be great. One of the parties is out of town for long periods so a regular whiteboard/cork board is proving problematic.

If you have an Office 365 subscription already with SharePoint, it's pretty easy to add an action tracker list everyone can use easily. If it's only one other person and you're able to agree on how it works (don't have to rely on being obvious or self-explanatory) a simple shared spreadsheet or even a word processor with tables on Google docs, etc. works fine.

It's the check-off book system we use at work (on paper), adapted for online. I usually go with a "daily" table of tasks and a column for each day of the week, a "weekly" table with a column for each week, etc. When a task is done, whoever does it puts their initials and date in the box for the correct date. I can tell at a glance a number of things - what needs doing today/this week, etc; who's been doing all the stuff; last time something was done.

Then there's a separate running list of one-off tasks that aren't recurring. That one has a date added, assigned to, and date done column. If it matters who does the routine thing, I can copy it to the one-off list and put someone's name, or I can just put their name by the task description on the routine table.

Best practice: don't add anything to any list or assign a name to something until everyone agrees with that, or else it's just going to linger there forever making everyone unhappy.
