Help me find a new scent

Scent filter: My favorite scent of all time has been discontinued! I was a huge fan of the Heaven line from the Gap. It appears to have been discontinued. What other scents - particularly in a lotion - should I try? For reference, the Gap described Heaven as "simple bouquet of pure white blossoms."

I have no suggestions for a new perfume but it seems it's being sold on ebay and directdiscount.us, among other places - see here. It could be totally overpriced (I've no idea), but if it's your favorite scent of all time it might be worth it to stock up!

Origins Spring Fever
or
Cotton Blossom

They're different, but they're similar in their "lightness", or something.

Well, you may be able to get a very direct replacement through Barry Striem (sp?) here in New York City. For something like 50 years, he's been in the business of copying famous scents.

I've never tried it myself, but people swear by him, and he's an extraordinary person overall. I honestly believe that if anyone can replicate a missing scent, it's Barry.

Here's an article to get you on your way -- try contacting him and see what happens.

I personally love Clean's Fresh Laundry scent. It's pricey but lovely.

the frangrance store can mix the perfume up for you; same formula, etc.

Ha, just today I was smelling Bath & Bodyworks Breathe: Calm (the blue one) and thought it smelled a lot like Dream. Try that one out.

Basenotes has a large and vocal community of perfume geeks. I suggest you get an account and post your question there.

If you go to Aveda or The body Shop, you can get scents mixed together to smell like just about anything.

Cached google pages turn up "notes of jasmine, muguet, tree moss, and musk".

Head to Sephora, or any department store that carries the philosophy line. Try Pure Grace. I liked Heaven, too - this is a really good substitute.
