Tricky tricky dining table search

I will be eternally grateful if you can help me find a traditional-style (preferably with a pedestal base) 42" round or square dining table that will expand with leaves to seat six, for under $600. This is proving to be surprisingly hard as Google will return lots of hits which on closer inspection are actually for 48" tables, which will not work for me, and all the 42" tables are too modern looking.

How about this one. It's not very modern looking.

Hayneedle has a bunch:

Coaster Furniture Lavon Dining Table
Weston Home 60 in. Oval Dining Table with Leaf
Liberty Furniture Industries Summer House Pedestal Dining Table
Jofran Everyday Classics 42-60 in. Round/Oval Dining Table
ECI Missouri Pedestal Dining Table
A-America Desoto Oval Dining Table (my favorite of these)

I can't vouch for any of these tables, but I have bought from Hayneedle and it was delivered quickly and the stuff I got was high quality and as advertised.

And here are a few from Wayfair. Note that Wayfair often does this weird white labeling thing and these are probably available elsewhere under different names. Sometimes if you google the Wayfair name you can find the real name

Rutledge Pedestal Extendable Dining Table
Florentia Extendable Dining Table
Kiantone Extendable Solid Wood Dining Table
Valleyview Extendable Solid Wood Dining Table (overbudget and out of stock, but putting it in case you love it and can find it somewhere else)

This one from Pier 1. I have the larger Ronan table, which is similar, and it's held up beautifully.

Response by poster: Er, and a related (but crucial) question: Will a 60" oval table comfortably seat 6 people? I was assuming it would but most of these show only 4 chairs with the table extended and the one that shows 6 chairs looks pretty cramped.

You won't have like... a ton of extra room, but it should be fine. Get chairs without armrests (those take up a lot more room and have less flexibility). Don't plan on serving a ton of food family style on the table.
