Where to get a length of ABS pipe?

I need 1 foot of 4" Schedule 40 ABS DWV pipe (solid, not foam core). I can find 20 feet of it, but not 1. Where should I look?

I've called every plumbing supply store and plumber locally. I've looked through numerous online outlets (online supply stores, craigslist...).

The best I've found are lengths much longer than I need or cellular core pipe, which doesn't help me.

Where else can I look? I appreciate any help you can give.

Without getting into details, my situation is much like this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Szlhjn1Hfe0). My pipe is too low, the floor is too high, things are uneven, and there's concrete all around. I'd be happy to explain further in a private message.

Thanks.

Sometimes places like Home Depot, have a bin near such pipe, where there are short lengths, because people only wanted so much, or the store has created shorties for convenience. I got a short piece of black plastic pipe to fix a lamp with an elbow where one length had broken.

Response by poster: Thanks, Oyéah.

Sorry to threadsit, but I missed a point I wanted to make anyway.

The ABS pipe I ordered from Home Depot was cellular core (I didn't know until I picked it up). That's the only type of ABS I can seem to find at any of the major home improvement locations.

They do a much better job of stocking PVC in various sizes. PVC, I have gathered, is just more popular.

I don't know about finding that particular kind of pipe, but the big-box hardware & building stores have always been happy to cut something to my needed length.

Is there a Habitat ReStore near you?

In my area, cellular core ABS is fine for DWV plumbing. Is that not the case where you are?

An easier solution to the problem in the video is a flange extender.

If you can use sch 40 PVC instead of ABS you could transition from your 4" ABS to 4" PVC and then use a PVC toilet flange. This one is really fancy but might help solve your problem. Or just a plain one. Schedule 40 PVC is readily available (around here anyways) at pool supply places. Also US Home Depot in 2' lengths.
