Are there popular equivalents in other languages of "Beans, Beans, The Musical Fruit"? I'm finding it difficult to discover via google if there are either widely known translations of "Beans" or popular songs/poems dealing with beans, farts, or (ideally) both in other languages.

Best answer: In Dutch we have rhyming sentences that go like this:
'Ieder uitje zijn geluidje' (Every onion its sound)
'Ieder boontje heeft zijn toontje' (Every bean has its tone)
'Ieder erwtje zijn concertje' (Every pea its concert)

These can be recited when someone farts.

If you are interested in historical roots:

keep your hands away from beans, distressing foodstuff, / I too say, as Pythagoras used to command’

I personally like to chant this every time I eat beans, YMMV.

Best answer: German has "jedes Böhnchen gibt ein Tönchen" (same as Too-Ticky's second sentence) and "Erbsen, Bohnen, Linsen lassen den Hintern grinsen" (Peas, beans and lentils make the butt grin).
