Suggestions for Mental Health Therapist in Columbus, Ohio

Greetings, All I am looking for a Mental Health Therapist in Columbus, Ohio, specializing in PTSD, Stress, and Trauma, and/or CBT. I am looking for a female therapist. I prefer a younger therapist if possible, close to my age,20-30s. Any advance is appreciated.

I am severely depressed, and I have just moved to Columbus. I do not have a PCP yet, and I am overwhelmed with trying to find a therapist. I know it will help, but it is very daunting. It takes a while to find a good fit, therefore I appreciate it if you have someone you would highly recommend.

I live in California so the market for therapy may be different where you are but out here most therapists do not take insurance (or only take a very few) and the ones that do are often quite full. So the first question would be do whether you planning to use your health insurance for this. If you are, my advice is to try to get a friend or family member to help do the research and make the calls. The problem is that you can make a dozen phone calls and find only person with an available opening (more calls and fewer responses if you are limited in the times that you can see the therapist). So, if someone else can sift through everyone listed on your insurance panel, match them against their website/Psychology Today to see if they are experience in PTSD and trauma, and then call for you to see if they have any openings, they can help you do all but the final steps. (Extra frustrating bonus: many people on Psychology Today will say they take insurance when they mean that they are really out of network so unless you have good out of network coverage, it will be much more expensive than an in-network provider.

I don't have experience as a patient, but my wife used to work with Simon Woliver and Abbey Carter-Logan of Clintonville Counseling and Wellness. She had a high opinion of them professionally. I know Simon personally; he's a super nice guy.
