Have you ever done it in a hot air balloon?

I'd like to have sex in unusual/new/(public) places. Any tips, tricks, hints, suggestions, or warnings you'd like to share? What are good places?

I don't necessarily mean in outer space or the lawn of the White House, but places like parks, public bathrooms, the train, rooftops, etc.

I'm not talking about exhibitionism, nor am I looking to take risks with getting caught. I'm just looking to move my sex life outside of my apartment.

If it matters (or for specific suggestions), I'm in Philadelphia proper and have no car. The sex is boy-girl style.

Girl wearing (approximately) knee-length skirt with no underwear is very conducive to such scenarios. Late night on a bench in a not-crowded park, with girl on guy's lap, will raise fewer suspicions than guy-on-top-of girl. Same for late night on the el or the subway. And don't neglect your movie theaters.

One time in NYC I was standing on the Queens bound N train platform at Lexington Ave at the end of the platform, when a man and a woman pushed past me and went past the barrier that marked the end of the platform. I didn't really pay attention, I was tired, but just as the train came pulling into the station (ahem) the woman walked out retying her sweatpants and threw a used condom into the path of the oncoming (ahem) train. As it was not my experience, I can't say if it was pleasurable, but as it was obviously very quick I kind of doubt it. Still, the end of a train platform in the middle of rush hour might be just what you need.

Go look at houses/condos/apartments with an agent. Ask the agent for some privacy to talk things over. If you can do it in five minutes, then this will work. Does a local library or university library have private study rooms? Does a local courthouse have private conference rooms outside the courtrooms?

Dressing rooms can work well... especially in stores where they are enclosed rooms, rather than stalls. I gave a hummer to my ex in the dressing room of Bloomies. Perhaps it was a two way mirror, but no one came knocking at the door, or gave us dirty looks afterward.

If you have access to any type of an office after or before normal hours, those are good too.

I did it on an elevator in the Market area of Charleston, SC. It was just after 5pm because the shops we went upstairs to see were all closed, so we decided to use the elevator for something other than a mode of transportation. Since everything was closed up, no one disturbed us.

If you live near the waterfront - the end of an abandoned or empty dock at night is a pretty safe bet. Same goes for a bridge walkway.

Fairmount Park, the Andorra bit (by Chestnut Hill College). It's a deserted hilltop in the middle of the day, in the middle of the week.

(And a special shout-out to the amorous couple I accidentally walked up on there! Thanks for not noticing me!)

I'll be bugging all around town tomorrow. I'll keep an eye out for ideas :)

I've seen it done in crowded, touristy nightclubs in Europe. I don't know if the same can be done in the states or not.

She should buy some string panties, and clip one of the strings that goes across the thigh. Replace it with a button/hole or hook/eye. This allows the panties to be cleared out of the way without sweeping them over the feet. She should then wear skirts (as short as is convenient). He can wear sweat pants or any other elastic-band trousers that are easy to pull up and down.

If you are into fucking each other, it doesn't take much more than this simple setup to begin taking advantage of situations as they arise. Back rows of movie theaters, elevators, public restrooms, city parks, random balconies, hikes, etc. I once had sex on the remaining foundation of one of the homes that burned in the Berkeley firestom.

You might ask why she shouldn't just wear skirts and go without panties entirely. The answer is that it's not comfortable to go without panties all the time. And it's important to allow it to be spontaneous. If you plan it, and she goes without panties in expectation of an encounter, then the mood won't be as spontaneous and interesting opportunities won't come up as often.

there's loads of locations that are great after dark - many tourist locations for example, public parks, also financial districts: all deserted. So get a city guide from the library and visit daytime locations at night. Second Gator on the skirt/ no underwear - those bras that unclip at the front are handy too. Zero points for public restrooms though - they tend to smell poor....

The not-central staircases of (big) public buildings, top floors of the same (it works wonderfully well at my university at least). I don't know about the architecture in your city, but here we have these deep and narrow staircases that leads to the cellar entrance (which nobody uses - except I) those are popular too, please check if somebody lives there first... And for some reason cemeteries are popular places for public sex, I have picked my fair share of underwear and condoms over the years.

And if somebody spots you, even though they may leave you alone, they will tell everybody they know about it for months, that's what I do at least.

This came out of a game of "two truths and a lie" played by the students of a field geology class. "Jane" had:

* offered a blowjob to a cop to get out of a speeding ticket;
* "tested" a tent on the REI shopfloor, on a busy weekend. They got away with it, with crunchy granola types milling around literally inches away from them.

Those were the truths, I forget what she made up as the lie.
