I'm gonna do it! But I need a name. Time and again AskMe has proved itself to be quite talented at this request.

Don't worry, it won't be "about blogging." I am going to concentrate on featuring random blogs that I happen to like.
I have ideas on how to make it different from this and this but obviously I cannot use anything similar to "Blog of the Day" etc...

Some suggestions I've had:
Blogfilter - natch. But *too* natch.
Blog'd - Sort of like Punk'd. But do I really want that sort of connotation? I'm not going to punk anyone's blog.
Blog-a-go-go with a retro theme - Kinda long and I'm not really going to be digging for blogs of the past and I'm not really into retro themes.

I can't really promise any sort of prize except for my gratitude. I'll post in Projects when I get it up and running.

For the ones being catty, I totally understand. I agree that this can go very very wrong. I don't like the two blog examples I gave, which is precisely why I want to do it, hopefully better. It's not going to be some automated popularity contest. I hope it will be helpful, a tagline being something like, "Wading through the shit so you don't have to".

If it goes down in flames I will rename it SteamingPileOfCrapAskMeWasRight.

Response by poster: All rightie, after a few Google searches (which is what I should have done first) it looks like all the ones I really like will have to be nixed as they are taken by other sites . None of them do what I want to do but best not to be confused with them.

Guess I gotta do more thinkin, although Blogobbler is growing on me ("mmm... blogs") and so is Blog Dish/Blog Stew.

(As a side note, Blogdigger looks like a nifty little tool for those interested)

Best answer: You could do something literal like Your Daily Blog, but I think it makes more sense to pick a more made-up name, and then assign it the brand of "the place to go to discover cool new blogs".

So, something like Startlog, as a place to start from, or something that plays with the tropes of the form itself (Permalink?) might be interesting.
