Is there a flat-rate cellular data plan in Canada?

i believe thats what its called. where i can access the internet on my cell and not pay by how much i download.
i dont need it to be high speed, 2G would be fine...
i was kind of thinking 'unlimited' access. but basically im looking for something reasonable (i wont go over my quota too easily) and affordible.
is there a mailing list i can get on to be notified when one becomes available? i know they have unlimited plans in the states for about the same cost as unlimited cable internet...

apparently rogers just announced today that they will be offering HSDPA in march, but i dont know what the rates will be...

Fido used to have an unlimited data plan, but it looks like it's gone now. Telus seems to be offering what you want (at a hefty $100 a month!) here.

Rogers has a so-called 'unlimited blackberry plan' (for $90/month) but they reserve "the right to limit usage and charge $7 per additional MB for excessive usage over 25 MB of data per month" when you read the fine print.

I have this through work, and it's nice, but I wouldn't pay for it myself.

Fido has one for Hiptop owners that's $25 a month. But I assume you want it for a laptop or something. Bell has one (scroll to the bottom) that's $100/month for their wireless PC card. Their Kyocera EV-DO card is $99 with a 3-year contract.

This isn't an endorsement of Bell's plan or their network. I've never used their data service.

Alternately, if you're a Bell Mobility customer, you can get unlimited access to the HotSpot network of WiFi hotspots in Starbucks, Second Cup, etc for $25/month.

Response by poster: is 5mb for example a lot in terms of browsing? also according to wikipedia there are a lot of mobile companies besides the big 4 so i was wondering if one of these other companies was offering a good deal to get into the competition...
