I read and enjoyed Bill Browder's book Red Notice. What other books should I read?

Books about high finance and legal intrigue, the gutting of Russia and the post-Soviet republics, and the development in the relationship between Russia and the West

This is not exactly an answer but on Thursdays from 12-1 EST you can tweet out requests for book recommendations using the hashtag #AskALibrarian and you will get a lot of great answers from librarians and avid readers.

I am reading From Cold War to Hot Peace by the former ambassador from the US to Russia, Michael McFaul. McFaul is another person on Putin's list of Americans for Trump to hand over to him (as of the Helsinki press conference), which is why I picked it up. The book is fascinating. It leans more toward political rather than financial intrigue, but definitely well worth a read.

Since the shock of November 2016, I haven't been able to read fiction, so I have read more books like Red Notice than ever before. Some of the books I have read include:

Dark Money by Jane Mayer
Secrecy World by Jake Bernstein
Winter is Coming by Garry Kasparov
A Very Expensive Poison by Luke Harding
Black Edge by Sheelah Kolhatkar
The Assault on Intelligence by Michael V. Hayden
Facts and Fears by James Clapper

There are some others but these come to mind first. The Garry Kasparov book is an interesting view of the breakdown of Russia from someone who was there.
MeMail me if you want to share any more ideas.
