Hair product to help create piecey texture

I have really thick, heavy, coarse hair in a long bob similar to this. What can I use to get it to look a little more piecey (is that the right word?), especially at the ends, without making it more stiff or heavy than it already is? Bonus if it doesn't contain silicone, but not absolutely imperative.

You want Oribe's Rough Luxury soft molding paste.

Are you already using a flat iron? When I had longer hair I would iron the ends in small sections and they would end up looking like your photo, no product necessary.

Have you tried a surf spray? This Bumble and bumble surf spray is one of my favorites but there are plenty of drugstore alternatives. You don’t mention specifically that your hair is straight, but I’m assuming from the picture it is. I think anything that adds a bit of texture to the hair will make it look less blunt and more piecey. When I had a bob I used this Aveda texture tonic which also might be a good choice for you but unlike surf sprays, it definitely made my hair feel like it had product in it.

Check out Kevin Murphy products, I've used their Night Rider for this.

It's pricey but Oribe dry texturizing spray is the BEST for this. Spray it in on the ends a bit at a time, tousle hair, spray some more.

Klorane dry shampoo works, plus if you spray it in your hair when clean it will really make your second-day hair feel clean as well.

I think you have to get some layers cut in to get this effect.

Dry shampoos and texturizing sprays could work but may get better results from a sea salt spray. I like the Captain Blankenship mermaid spray.
