Can I buy Peach Juice in the UK?
February 9, 2006 9:14 AM   RSS feed for this thread Subscribe

I went to Berlin last week and found the wonder of concentrated Peach Juice. Where oh where can I buy this in the UK?

It's made by 'Granini' and the bottle is labelled 'Pfirsich' (German for peach) and I need it in my life.
Afaik you can't buy it anywhere in England, I was just wondering if anyone did know.

Many thanks!

A hate to suggest it, but have you tried Aldi? They seem to do German stuff. Cheap German stuff. So I'm told.

Granini.com says they sell in the UK (but doesn't say where) - try emailing them? Here, you can contact a UK-based representative of Granini.

Also, do you live near Salisbury? If so...

Googling for Lidl "peach juice" UK provides a bit of evidence they do it there, and similarly for Aldi.

(Piggy back question: Is it also available in the US? I, too, discovered the joy of concentrated fruit syrup in Europe and would love to have it at home.)

I've had peach juice in the U.S., but here it's usually labeled, "Peach Nectar."

Yoga (an Italian company, I believe) has something called 'fruit nectar' (scroll down -- for shipping in the US).. this site seems to ship within the UK as well.. (lower right, 'yoga nectars')

If you love the peach nectar, just wait until you try apricot!

In the U.S. you can find a delicious cornucopia of canned fruit nectars in any Latino grocery store -- the Jumex and Goya brands in particular. I have also found Jumex in the "ethnic" aisles of supermarkets and you can even buy it from Amazon. Finally, Libby's is a commonly available (but very sugary) brand of canned apricot nectar.
