Calling Runner 5

What is the storyline of Zombies, Run! at the end of season 1, the race episodes, and the beginning of season 2?

I've been trying to keep it straight but it seems like New Canton either does or does not know who I am, and the relationship between Abel and New Canton veers wildly. What happened?

It’s been a while but I believe the pov character changes. New Canton Runner 5 is not the same as the Abel Runner 5.

Response by poster: So are the race missions the same story from two sides? Kinda weird that "runner 5" goes from being on the New Canton council to attempted murder by Nadia.

Nadia is acting out of purely personal motivations, but Runner 5 is still the same person, whether at Abel or New Canton.

There is a little more information about the S1 finale in the Radio files as well.

Best answer: Hello! Co-creator of Zombies, Run! here. The first thing to say is that Abel Five and New Canton Five are very definitely different people, as pointed out by the wiki Lins from juv3nal. It just happens that both Fives are played by you, and both are silent.

And yes, there's definitely a lot going on at the end of Season 1. The Race Missions take place just before the end of S1 and they help explain the different motivations of the people involved.

Finally, Abel and New Canton ends up in a truce, partly because they realise they have a bigger common enemy, and partly because Major de Santa, absent leader of Abel, has returned.
