Tweets-To-Speech on Android In Real Time?

Is there a straightforward mechanism or free/dirt-cheap app providing tweets-to-speech on Android which I can use to keep up with e.g. the BBC's main F1 Twitter account this race weekend? Something that will read aloud every new tweet when it arrives?

I don't normally do Twitter, nor text-to-speech. I want to follow this weekend's Canadian F1 GP live if possible and please take it as read that this is the best way for me to do so, i.e. radio/streaming/whatever alternative coverage is right out (unless it's very close to what I'm describing).

Best answer: The free Voice Notify app works perfectly to do just this. Install it, and then you can configure it to read only the content of the tweet, rather than the full header information.

First, in Twitter, make sure you're following the account, then -- in the app -- click the alarm bell next to "Following" to get a notification for each tweet.

Then, install Voice Notify and configure it to read notifications. Once it's installed, that means run the app then:

1) Enable the notification service.
2) In "App List", ignore all apps except Twitter
3) In "Text to Speech", "TTS Message", set it to "m." so only the message is announced.

Run a test from within the app to make sure your volume is up and you should be good to go. If you have anything preventing the app from working, the "Notification Log" should explain what's going on.

Enjoy the race!
