Fun, cheap birthday gift ideas?

My partner will be a staff member at a summer camp this year, with an hour-long bus ride in both directions each day tending to the kiddies. Help me pick a cheap/fun gift to make the rides or days more enjoyable.

This summer plan is definitely not my idea of fun, but she's a teacher so for sure her pain threshold is higher. What is fun for me is that her birthday comes right before the camp starts, so I get to buy her a present to make the days and drives a bit more pleasant. Suggestions?

(Details: decade-plus as a middle school educator; ~$10-30 on Amazon, unless awesome. Complications: as a bus chaperone, noise-cancelling headphones/cones of silence are probably not the right idea.)

Merl Reagle's crossword books. Hard, but fair.

Spare phone charger for reading on the phone when the kids are not requiring attention.
A really great hat, maybe a ball cap that you get embroidered SWMBO or something.
A bottle of her preferred alcohol and mixer - margarita mix & tequila, bloody Mary mix & vodka, etc., for when she gets home. Bonus points: make n "Emergency 1st Aid Kit" package for it.
Research camp songs in the Internet; she can be teaching kids funny songs, or maybe games to play on the bus. An hour commute is a drag for adults; it can be an eternity for bored kids.
Megaphone
If the bus has video, camp movies.

Is this an outside camp? I'd like a great sunscreen, but I'm really picky about that, so YMMV.

A book. I've been a bus chaperone several times and it's possible to get some reading in. I remember on one middle school trip I read David Lebovitz's The Sweet Life in Paris.
