Travel/medical insurance for the elderly

My grandmother, 87, is intending to visit us in the USA from Thailand in approximately a week. This was a spur of the moment decision, and we want to see if we can get travel insurance for her. I'ma bit lost.

I'm not quite sure what my best options are here. I've looked into IMG Global, and they offer a variety of plans, with a relatively slim $10K coverage limit. World Nomads, which I've seen recommended here previously simply doesn't cover anyone over 66.

I'm a bit dubious about this entire trip, frankly, but I want to be as helpful as I can. My mom is off to pick up grandma in a couple of days, and I would appreciate help figuring out some options I can present to her.

I had to use my TravelGuard policy on one trip when a natural disaster struck and they were great.

Response by poster: Sadly, Travelguard doesn't appear to serve residents of Thailand. :(

Perhaps one of the big Bangkok hospitals (Bumrungrad?) could refer you to providers they know do this?

Check whether her health insurance provider in Thailand offers or refers to providers of travel insurance. Similarly if she has Thai credit cards, check whether she can get insurance through the credit card companies.
What do her local friends who travel abroad do?
