Suggest a private meeting place in Seattle

I'm meeting someone to talk and we need it to be quiet and private, but can't use either of our homes for reasons. Where in Seattle would you suggest?

A hotel or AirBnb seems like overkill since we only need a couple hours. A restaurant could work if we could reserve a private room, but I don't know of any specific ones that fit that bill. Budget is somewhat flexible, but $50 seems like an upper bound since we could get an AirBnb for that.

The Seattle Public Library system has a bunch of meeting and study rooms.

Seattle's a big place. Got a preferred part of town?

What about coworking spaces that rent out their meeting rooms per hour?

I see many places listed on LiquidSpace (click the "Filters" button in the upper right corner to change the price range).

Response by poster: Part of town doesn't really matter much. Ideally accessible via public transit, but as long as it's within a couple miles of downtown it should work.

Victrola coffee on 15th has a private conference room you might be able to book.

This Starbucks on Olive Way also has semiprivate meeting rooms that can be reserved and used. If you need power, they also have outlets.

If you have access to the UW, they have numerous study rooms on campus that can be reserved, or used on a first come, first served basis. The Engineering Library has rooms on a first come, first served basis, no reservations required.

I'd go to a library or rent a conference room in a hotel.

Could you drive somewhere secluded, park, and talk in the car? Perhaps Lakeview Cemetary?

In case other suggestions fall through and you want to entertain the ridiculous: Rockbox is a Japanese style Karaoke club in Capitol Hill that rents private rooms by the hour. It would cost around $7 * 2 *2 = $28 or $4 * 2 *2 = $16 during happy hour. You might think "oh geez that would be noisy" but this review suggests the soundproofing is the rooms is fairly decent.

Even more ridiculous - and therefore awesome?

SODO's Orient Express!

It's a Chinese restaurant/bar/karaoke lounge/ that consists of a bunch of train cars stacked next to each other, and connected on the inside. There's many nooks and crannies to eat in, as well as some private karaoke rooms that can be reserved, if privacy is of the utmost concern. If not, I imagine that mid-afternoon would be kind of dead, except for the bar car.

Both the food and drinks are strong and good.

Response by poster: Neither of us have a car, oxisos, but that's a good idea! Lots of clever suggestions here. Thank you.
