sync/share calendar not Outlook

Yet another calendar program question (syncing, sharing and NOT Outlook)

I have a Pocket PC. At work we have a little handcrafted network appointment thing that the receptionists use to book appointments for the staff. I hate Outlook.

Do I have any options of, preferably free, software that will sync to a Pocket PC and allow other people to put appointments into my calendar without a big bulky web interface?

I don't know much about calendar programs, but the forthcoming 30 Boxes sounds pretty neat. Doesn't look too bulky, and would seem to allow other people to add to your calender. The beta goes public Sunday, I believe.
