Help me name our summertime fun club!

Help me come up with a name for a loose, bi-weekly gathering of close friends taking place throughout the summer at various local beaches!

Hi MeFites!

So our plan for this summer is to implement a standing beach gathering every other Sunday.. Choosing a different place to meet up to enjoy each others’ company, and our glorious summer days. Open invitation to family and friends, whoever can make it the day of is welcome to show up, and if you can’t make it this time, well then hopefully next time!

But we need a name! Thinking something beach/summer/adventure/sun/fun related,,, but I’m drawing a blank. I’d like to think of this idea as a “club,” but open to other ways of thinking about it.. (ie perhaps more like an event or something along those lines). Open to any type of suggestions :)

About us; our core group consists of about fifteen 30-somethings,, some coupled, some single, some with kids. Free-spirited hippy-hipster types, small town dwellers.. Queer and otherwise. We consider each other family. Friends of friends are always welcome to join in on the fun times we have together, and others drift in and out of the group with the rhythms of their lives.

We all love the sun, traveling, adventure, eating, drinking, laughing together, and all round good times. If it makes any difference, we live on Vancouver Island.

Any ideas??

Thanks!!

Best answer: Always daytime, always at the beach, always on Sundays... 'Sun Club' may be too simple but has the advantage of being super easy to text or type and would probably lend itself to cute logos if you ever wanted to have t-shirts or cups printed up for yourselves. (Also, this sounds really fun, what a great idea for a friend event.)

Best answer: Sounds like fun. Corny but my first thought was Suns of Beaches. Sunner League. Sunday Sanday Club. Or maybe something riffing on sunday family dinners.

Best answer: Sandy Sunday(s).

"Next Sandy Sunday is at xyz beach. We'll set up next to lifeguard tower A. See you there."

Sounds a little more like a happy hour but still sounds simple and chill.
