Suggestions for a divorce lawyer in Madison, WI?

Can anyone recommend a take-no-prisoners-style divorce lawyer in the Madison, Wisconsin, area? Asking on behalf of my sister-in-law.

My wife's sister has been in a terrible quasi-post-marital situation for nearly 10 years now. She and her husband are estranged, but they are both pretty passive, and have never actually gotten divorced. Now, FINALLY, they are going forward with this long-overdue procedure.

Initial legal meetings (attempts at an out-of-court settlement) have been pretty fruitless. SIL's lawyer is ineffective, and her husband has been making unreasonable demands that neither SIL nor her lawyer can effectively counter. On top of this, the husband has been financially and parentally irresponsible. Honestly, he's being a dick.

My wife and I have been talking to other members of the family, and think that the best way to proceed is for SIL to hire a "shark" - a no-nonsense divorce lawyer who can stand up for my SIL and effectively dismiss the unreasonable demands made by her husband. And perhaps win a favorable settlement for SIL.

This is all going down in a town about 25 miles west of Madison, Wisconsin. Time is of the essence.

Any suggestions for an aggressive, effective divorce attorney within an hour of Madison would be very welcome. I can search for them online but would like some personal recommendations. Thank you.

I have no specific suggestions but when I was looking for one years ago in NYC, I called a women's rights organization. They connected me with someone who was exactly what you're describing.

A little googling turned up this group that might be able to recommend someone, or might at least point you towards another organization that can.

I would also try the National Organization for Women in Madison, and/or Planned Parenthood.
