Male smooth-jazz vocalist from the late '70's?

I’m trying to peg a male jazz vocalist from 1978-1980 who had a lilting calm vibe but Google isn't helping. I remember a snatch of one lyric from a song where he compares his lover to a map, kissing her “down to your sweet Brazil”. Any idea who he is?

Best answer: The song - for this who are interested. - it doesn't sound like the sort of number which would have those lyrics hidden away in verse 3!
