Building a .txt db or wiki that plays with iPod?

So I want to build a recipe database / wiki thingy for my iPod. Something similar to PodGourmet...

If you're not famiiar with PG, what it does is list recipes in folders like Appetizers, Desserts, etc. Once you go into those folders (on your iPod), you'll see an index at the top with clickable titles to take you to the recipes. I know this is all done with html, which I know, no problem.

However, I imagine that there is a wiki type program I can build this with to make things more linkable (for instance, to make the word carrot clikable in each recipe to take me to a list of recipes with carrots in them), and I don't know anything at all about Wikis and ones that make exportable txt files that can play with the iPod.

I'm on OS X if that's important.

Suggestions?

Response by poster: Also, related but not, I guess: any way to make the iPod also attach photos to the recipes or am I restricted to photos in their own section of the iPod?

You could always try using iPod's native notes feature.

The application WikiNotes can make a fully linked wiki then export it as linked iPod notes. That would be a great app for doing this with.

WikiNotes is interesting, I was going to suggest WikiPad, but it is PC only.

Yes I use WikiNotes for both putting e-books on the iPod and for some general personal wiki purposes. The developer is a talented individual.

VoodooPad.

Totally what you want. Wiki on the Mac. Creates usable HTML autolinked ipod notes. Zero learning curve.

Pod2Go might be exactly what you are looking for. Syncs lots more useful information as well such as gas prices and weather. Pod2Go has let me transform my iPod into a PDA for me in the same way I used my Palm. I only need to read. If I need to input, I write it down in my notepad and enter it into my Powerbook and sync as soon as I sit down and open my 'book, which I always have with me.
