Prague - good central places to stay?

I have a conference in Prague in late May and I want to take my family along. Where should I be looking for AirBnBs that meet our needs? The conference locations are near the Florenc metro and the second location is immediately next to Náměstí Republiky metro.

While my getting to the conference locations daily is important, I'd also like the location to be nice for the others involved - adults, an elementary aged child, and a baby. We need a kitchen and a washing machine in the AirBnB. Walkable to a supermarket would be great too. And their ability to easily get to stuff in the city is key.

I'm looking and filtering on AirBnB, but it is unclear to me if I'm looking in a really commercial part of the city or what.

I'd be thrilled with AirBnB links or "living" hotels or explicit neighborhood suggestions.

I remember there being a large Tesco near where we stayed in Prague, and it was also close to the Lego Museum and walking distance from Old Town Square. This is the address for the Tesco: MY, Národní 63/26, 113 89 Nové Město, Czechia. We were on Jilska street - also an Airbnb.

On Google Maps, it doesn't look like the Florenc light rail station is walking distance from Jilska, but the other one is. You could take the Mustek metro to Florenc and then walk to your conference if you chose to stay there. The public transportation in Prague is very good.

There are also several smaller grocery stores (Supermarket Albert chain) all over Old Town, including by the two metro stations you mention. Staying in Old Town can get noisy and touristy, especially at night, so I'm not sure if you'd want to do that with kids and/or older folk.

Here's a good rundown of the Prague neigborhoods - Vinohrady in Prague 2 seems like a good option, but it is a 20-30 minute walk to Wenceslas Square in Old Town, which is one of the main attractions. There's also the Mala Strana area, across the river (you'd use Charles Bridge to get over to Old town), but this might mean it takes you longer to get to your conference. Also, pushing a stroller along narrow cobbled streets isn't too convenient, so I'd really stay close to a metro station + your conference location + walking distance to Old Town square.

IMO, you'd have to get out of Prague to see a lot of what Czechia has to offer outside of Old Town.

Karlin is a nice district. Away from the tourist hoards of downtown Prague but yet close enough walk to centre (20 min brisk walk). Also served by tram and metro (Florenc).
