Where to find notification sounds for my phone?

New phone, new system. I'm searching for the mp3 files for the facebook messenger notifications because I would like to use those for other apps as well. Alternatively, I'd like to find a clean, safe website that has simple Click, Ding, Tap sounds that I can download and use as notifications. My google-fu is returning too many ad websites and "log in / buy" locations, or very low-quality sounds. Please help!

I've used the Zedge app for notifications and ringtones for years, free and simple and has all the stock phone and app sounds and the simple notifications you're looking for. Available in the Play Store.

Best answer: Cleartones. Not free, but worth the price, in my opinion.

What kind of phone do you have? On my Android, I find the easiest way is to hook it up to my PC and go into the app data folder. Copy the sounds from there and into the main folder of notification sounds, which might have a different name depending which version of Android you have. Then you should be able to choose those sounds to be the notification tone in any app.

rebent's phone is a Moto G5 according to the tags. On my Moto G3, the Facebook Pop sound is listed as an option in other Apps' notification settings, just in case you've not tried that.

I have android, I recorded sounds to be my notification. The microphone program allows you to change the length of things, and so forth, there is good editing. When I hear these certain frogs calling, I know I have a message. It is fun to find your sounds.

Freesound.org has lots of sounds of different sorts, and as the name implies, for free.

2nding zedge...it's ad-supported and free and has 10s of thousands of notification and ringtone sounds all tagged for search. Just look for 'Facebook messenger' sounds.
