No-iron shirts for men, in solid colors.

I love Banana Republic's non-iron shirts, I will never go back to wearing non-non-iron shirts no matter how much formaldehyde they put in wrinkle-free shirts, but Banana Republic seems to hate solid-color shirts so options are very limited. I love Express's solid-color shirts, but last time I checked they don't have any wrinkle-free shirts. Where else should I look to find non-iron shirts in single colors?

Kenneth Cole makes nice ones, though not in that many colors.

You want Ministry of Supply. MIT nerds making dress clothes out of performance fabrics that look really really good. Expensive, but extremely high quality and low maintenance.

Twillory makes formaldehyde-free non-iron shirts - unfortunately they don't have a ton of solid colors at the moment but it's a start.

They used to have them at Kohl’s. (They probably still do.)

Best answer: The "Smart Care" or non-iron shirts from Nordstrom's house brand are excellent. Less than $50 and they go with your regular old laundry. Cuts range from extra-trim fit for the youngsters to "classic fit" for old round guys like me.

Best answer: Macys.

Best answer: I like Brooks Brothers for non-iron shirts. The colors tend to be pretty conservative but plenty of solid color options.

I have been happy with Charles Tyrwhitt non irons, which now have replaced every other wrinkly work shirt I've collected in pieces over the years.

Uniqlo has a bunch of non-iron solid color shirts. There is also EasyCare of which I am a fan, but YMMV.

Costco also has them but they are much less slim that the Uniqlo version and may need tailoring. They are inexpensive, though.

In this order:

1. Nordstrom house brand

2. Brooks Brothers

3. Jos. A. Banks.

Stafford at JCPenney makes the best and best-fitting non-iron shirts for the money, in my experience.

Eddie Bauer still makes nice no-iron button down dress shirts. I always have a couple of white and blue ones in rotation. They last fairly well, and also one of the few makers who go up to 3XL in size. It won't help people who read this later, but today they seem to be on sale, marked down to $40 from $60.
