My favorites include:

South China Morning Post
Asia Times
China Daily and People's Daily Online (like XinHua Net, they carry the news from China's official news agency)
Shanghai Daily
China Central TV
China News
China Radio International

Keep an eye out for the obvious and heavy spin on issues like Taiwan and Tibet, and the sometimes extremely sloppy reporting.

Mondo Times has a decent listing of local Chinese media. To get a more pro-Taiwan spin, try the Taipei Times, or the China Post.
