Things to do in Miami on Christmas/Christmas Eve

I will be moving to South Florida in a couple weeks - my partner is already there. We are both new to the area, and don't know anyone. What holiday-related events/activities are there in Miami on Christmas and Christmas Eve?
We are both fairly flexible about the kinds of things we are up for (indoor/outdoor or what have you), and we'd be willing to drive for a couple hours if it were worth it. Mainly, since this will be the first major holiday we'll be spending together, it would be nice there were something memorable we could do to mark the occasion.
